1 The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, HE Mr. Abshir Omar Jama, received in his office at the Ministry a copy of the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Federal Republic of Somalia, Amb. Major General Thomas Chepkuto.
2 During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the newly appointed Kenyan ambassador, wishing him success in his assigned duties, and alluded to the importance of advancing joint cooperation between the two neighboring countries and taking them towards broader horizons at the service of the common.
4 He also sent, through the ambassador, his congratulations and blessings to HE William Ruto as the newly elected President of Kenya.
5 For his part, Ambassador Thomas Chepkuto expressed his joy at meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighting his country’s pride in its relations with Somalia, and his enthusiasm for elevating them at the service of the aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples.
