Na 69 years him take waka come this world, and na today we hear say he don pass away. Nobody don talk anything official from him family or the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), wahala dey!
Solomon Arase, wey be the 18th IGP wey Nigeria get, carry him position from April 2015 to June 2016 before him retire from service. E don chop plenty titles, including Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) wey he take after when late President Muhammadu Buhari appoint am for January 2023. But no forget say, him lose that chair when President Bola Tinubu come change am for June 2024. Na wah!
Born on June 21, 1956, for Owan West Local Government Area for Edo State, Arase no be small pickin for politics. E go Ahmadu Bello University go study Political Science and finish give us the matter for 1980. Then, on December 1, 1981, na that day e enter Nigeria Police Force like say na side hustle. This guy no just sharp, him follow am come bag Law degree from the University of Benin and carry Master’s degree come from University of Lagos. Omo, sharp mind no dey rest!
Before him become IGP, this man dey head the Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau, wey be the top intelligence unit for police. And no be say him just dey sit down for office, nahim hold plenty positions, including Commissioner for police for Akwa Ibom State and Assistant Inspector-General wey dey in charge of intelligence. If you like smart people, you go see say this man sabi wetin e dey do.
