Na because dem accuse am say he dey incite violence and dey fund terrorism as part of him Biafra agitation.
Dem arrest Ekpa for November 2024 when Finland government catch am based on suspicion say him activities fit qualify under terrorism law for Finland. State prosecutor Sampsa Hakala no wan take any chance; him say dem get gbege evidence wey show wetin Ekpa dey do online. Na wetin he go do with that one?
During the court sitting, Ekpa no gree say he order weapons for pro-Biafra groups. Him lawyer, Kaarle Gummerus, come dey raise matter say dem info wey dey come from Nigeria fit no be correct. (If dem no fit get beta evidence, wetin dem go do?)
The Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) don even declare lockdown for South-East Nigeria to mark this court appearance. Dem dey hail Ekpa, call am hero of their time, say him don sacrifice everything for Biafra. Na wah! Wetin dem dey smoke sef?
Ekpa, wey come Finnish land since 2007 as athlete, don join the National Coalition Party and serve for Lahti public transport board. But now, hin don dey fight wetin no easy. The case also involve other allegations like tax fraud, as if wahala no dey enough already.
As the court trial dey happen, prosecution dey push for six-year sentence. “We get plenty evidence regarding this individual’s online activity and communications,” prosecutor Hakala talk, make e clear say dem no dey play with this matter.
Ekpa’s supporters dey claim say he no be IPOB member again and even Nnamdi Kanu, wey be the leader, don disown am. This whole matter dey complicate, as the court dey also look into wetin go happen if dem fit prove say Ekpa get hand for violence wey dey happen for South-East.
