Sheffield Wednesday Fans Burst Pitch, Demands Chansiri to Run!

Sheffield, England – Na wah o! Dem people no get chill for dem football this past Saturday as dem Championship match between Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry City catch fire just 10 minutes into di game.

As di Owls fans dey watch dem boys for Hillsborough, suddenly, some of dem no fit hold am again. Dem run enter di pitch, gather for di centre circle like say na market day. Wetin happen? Well, na protest against di club’s owner, Dejphon Chansiri, becos e dey jangle them pocket so much!

Di fans don dey vex since di announcement say wages no go pay on time. This na di fifth time for seven months; even awon players don dey shake body. So as dem chant “Chansiri must go!” everybody around dem join di chorus of displeasure. Abi na wah o!

Referee Adam Herczeg no gree make dem continue to dey play. He carry players go sideline, wait make di stewards clear di pitch. Play stop for like five minutes while fans dey waka comot like say dem no get sense. But e be like say Coventry fans no mind, dem join dey cheer too. Na peaceful protest wey we dey see here, no wahala, just pure frustration.

Coventry don already score, when Brandon Thomas-Asante use head connect early goal in di second minute, so di Owls dey already look for way to climb back as dem dey down 1-0 when di match stop. But who wan talk about di score when Chansiri dey cause all di wahala?

Di Owls don dey struggle for dis season, just one win from di league, and financial problems dey hang around dem like bad smell. E be like say Chansiri wan sell di club, but negotiations no don land anywhere yet. Fans don dey boycott buying anything inside di stadium just to show dem unhappiness. Na so dem dey keep empty seats for di matches.

Coventry gaffer, Frank Lampard, no fit hide im sympathy for di Sheffield fans as e talk say e grow for dat place and understand their frustration. But e dey put im players’ safety first o. E just dey hope say nobody go carry wahala enter pitch again.

As di manager of di Owls, Henrik Pedersen don talk say dem dey understand di protest but make e no run out of hand. Na so di thing dey go for dis current season for dem. E fit still turn around, but if Chansiri no find solution soon, e fit cause more wahala.
