But he also talk say ‘this wahala wey Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger dey face no go stop for their own borders.’ He add say as long as this problem dey spread, ‘no country for the sub-region go escape from this gangrene.’
“Na why Senegal no go just express solidarity, we go consider any form of collaboration to support our brothers for this challenge,” he talk.
Ousmane Sonko don dey Prime Minister since April 2024 after him party, Pastef, win legislative elections. Burkina Faso meanwhile, dey under the control of a junte wey no dey friendly with the West, headed by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, wey enter power through coup for October 2022.
Traoré promise to end the jihadist threat wey dey disturb the country, but the killings continue to spread across large parts of the territory. Recently, jihadists even enter and temporarily occupy two important cities, Djibo in the north and Diapaga in the east.
According to ACLED, wey dey track conflict victims worldwide, over 26,000 people don die from jihadist attacks for Burkina Faso in the past ten years, with half of those casualties only coming in the last three years.
