Scammers Don Start Again: JAMB Warns Dem No Get Gaskiya!

LAGOS, Nigeria — The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) don clear say dem no dey involved with one fraudulent account wey dey collect N15,700 to reschedule Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for candidates. JAMB Spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, release statement on Thursday, May 1, 2025, to warn candidates and the public about this scam.

Benjamin explain say the fake account number 8520641017 wey dey linked to Sterling Bank na part of one nefarious scheme wey dey target candidates wey miss their UTME. “We dey issue this urgent notice to notify public say some people don dey use this deception to collect money from candidates,” he talk.

He make am clear say those wey dey behind this con job no get any business with JAMB or any legitimate government agency. “This matter no be joke; na serious scam. We sabi say public no go fall for this cheap trick. The account details wey dem dey show na all fake and no join any official process; na just to carry out fraud,” e add.

Benjamin say JAMB don report di matter to security agencies and dem dey pursue di criminals wey dey behind this act. He also need remind candidates say JAMB no dey reschedule examinations for anybody wey miss di exam for reasons wey no concern di Board.

He talk say, “But if person get biometric issues and dem no fit enter di examination due to dat, we dey carry out thorough investigation. Those wey get no problems go receive invitation to retake di exam free of charge—NO PAYMENT REQUIRED.” E shout say JAMB no dey charge candidates any fees after dem don register.

“We dey urge every candidate make dem dey careful and no allow dem deceive dem. Protect una self and report any suspicious activity immediately,” JAMB statement conclude.
