Kaduna, Nigeria — Islamic cleric Sheikh Gumi no fit perform 2025 Hajj after Saudi Arabian authorities stop am. Gumi talk this matter for him Facebook page on Monday, say Saudi authorities dey “uncomfortable” with him presence for the Holy Land, even though dem don give am visa.
Gumi don return home to Nigeria and express gratitude for di Nigerian authorities wey promise to follow up di issue with Saudi Arabian officials. He urge di people make dem dey pray for di safe return of other pilgrims, as well as peace and prosperity for di country.
In him post, Gumi write, “Alhamdullilahi I’ve already completed my Hajj 2025 and I’m at home in our beloved country Nigeria. Allah said in Q2/196: ‘And accomplish the Hajj i.e pilgrimage and the Umra for Allah, but if you are prevented, (slaughter) the offering available with you (meaning, you are then free from Hajj or Umra).’”
He continue, “For some obvious reasons, my views about world politics, di Saudi authorities are uncomfortable about my presence in di Hajj after giving me di Hajj visa.” Gumi also appreciate di Nigerian authorities for di promise to address di situation immediately with di Saudis.
Gumi express dat this situation show di value of freedom and democracy wey Nigerians cherish. He add, “I’m now free to attend to my health and farming activities. We should continue to pray for di safe return of all pilgrims, peace and prosperity for our dear nation.”
