Sadio Mane Reveals CR7 Encouraged His Bayern Munich Move
Sadio Mane shared that Cristiano Ronaldo had encouraged his move to Bayern Munich when he moved from Liverpool last year.
The Bundesliga side paid £35.1 million to acquire Mane’s services and the 30-year old striker has been paying dividends since joining, having scored 11 goals in all competitions so far.
He was also part of the winning side that clinched major honours such as the Champions League, Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup while in Liverpool.
Mane revealed that Ronaldo had complemented the move to Bayern and encouraged it as a “great step” for the Senegalese striker.
According to Mane, Cristiano wants the Bundesliga to be taken more seriously given the performances in the Champions League.
He also has been showing great form for the German side, having scored seven goals in three games with a hat-trick in his last game as well as netting all four goals in a thumping Al-Nassr win earlier in the month.
Even though he had a slow start to his career at Bayern Munich, his potential has come alive in recent weeks, with his ability to turn games around single handedly.
The Senegalese attacker had capitalized on his move away from Liverpool and has expressed gratitude to Ronaldo for perceptive remarks.
Mane is now looking to prove a point of just how valuable the Bundesliga is and attract attention to the growing talent pool in the competiton, while maintaining his personal form.
