Just four days after the passing of rugby league legend, John Satler, Russell Crowe and girlfriend Britney Theriot enjoyed a romantic dinner at the exclusive Sydney restaurant, Bondi Icebergs. The restaurant, which boasts sweeping views of Bondi beach, has become a firm favourite of Crowe’s and is known for its strict dress code.
Restaurant rejects beachwear and athleisure
According to venue manager, Tom Klein, the restaurant routinely rejects anyone wearing beach attire or athleisure, including yoga pants, tank tops and flip flops. The strict dress code has caused controversy in the past, with some lambasting the policy as discriminatory. But Mr Klein says the dress code is necessary to maintain the restaurant’s high-end atmosphere.
Couple met on film set
Crowe and Theriot met on the set of the film, Broken City, in 2013. The couple kept their relationship low-key until they were spotted showing affection towards one another on a tennis court in November 2020. Since then, the couple has been seen out and about together on numerous occasions.
Crowe’s past relationships
Crowe was previously married to Danielle Spencer from 2003 to 2012. The couple shares two sons, Charles and Tennyson. Crowe has been relatively private about his relationships since his divorce from Spencer, so his public appearances with Theriot have sparked widespread interest.
