El-Rufai’s transformation massive, can’t find my way in Kaduna – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari praised Kaduna State Governor Nasiru El-Rufai on Thursday for transforming Kaduna City and other cities in the state.
In his remarks, while inaugurating the facilities at the redeveloped Murtala Muhammad Square and the Kawo Causeway Bridge within the Kaduna metropolis, Buhari said he was impressed by the governor's efforts.
He said that the transformation of the Kaduna metropolis was so great that even he (President) himself, as a resident of the metropolis, could hardly find his way in the city.



“I have been in Kaduna all the time, but now I can hardly find my way;  you have changed to Kaduna;  you are writing your history in golden letters,” Buhari told the governor as he inaugurated Murtala Muhammad Square.
He praised the governor for committing to change the state, adding that people across the country appreciated his effort.
In his remarks, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said the remodeled Murtala Muhammed Square was first built in the 1970s and handed over by the federal government to the Kaduna state government.

In his remarks, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said the remodeled Murtala Muhammed Square was first built in the 1970s and handed over by the federal government to the Kaduna state government.

“Murtala Mohammed Square has been rebuilt and refurbished, and is now a multifunctional facility, with five restaurants, a small boutique, a hotel, sports facilities, a soccer field, a swimming pool and a polo field,” he said.

The president, who is on a two-day working visit, earlier inaugurated some projects in Kafanchan city and is expected to inaugurate more projects in Zaria city on Friday.
