3 She noted that the depletion of the ozone layer had resulted in increased heat globally just as erosion was posing a threat to the environment.
4 She said also that the trees would serve as windbreakers to protect the school’s infrastructure.
5 “We intend to secure the future with the theme of this year’s tree planting, which is: “plant a tree and plant a future.
“We chose Air Force Military School because it is a well organised school and we believe it will help us to nurture the trees to grow.
7 “The trees would be allocated to students to take care of and make sure they do well,’’ Azoba said.
9 Akueshi urged everyone to plant a tree or two in their environment for healthier habitation.
10 Chief Instructor, Academics, at the school, Sqn. Ldr. Bukola Seweje, commended the club for choosing it for the project.
11 Seweje promised that the school would nurture and ensure that the trees grow to maturity to achieve the intended goal.
