Revealing the Reason Behind Peter Obi’s Lagos Presidential Victory
Dele Momodu, a prominent figure in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), recently revealed the reason why presidential candidate Peter Obi won in the state of Lagos during last Saturday’s election.

Although normally viewed as a fortress of the All Progressives Congressional (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, Momodu explained the outcome of the election was due to the preponderance of Igbo people residing in Lagos.

Speaking on Channel Television’s Sunrise Daily, Momodu noted that Obi was able to win in part due to a strong base in the East and Atiku’s support from the Northeast and Northwest.

This played into Obi’s favour since Bola Tinubu was unable to hold onto his own base.
Additionally, Momodu addressed the faulty election process which has sparked various debates, stating that it was impossible for it to lead to a legitimate result.
In conclusion, Momodu concluded that the national election did not serve as an adequate representation of what is best for the nation.
Eventual results will not be able to meaningfully reflect the will of the public due to the flawed election process.
