The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) says that requesting a daily stock of supplied products is a legal regulatory requirement for any retail outlet licensee, at no cost to traders.

The department revealed this in a statement signed by the head of public affairs, Mr. Paul Osu, in Abuja on Sunday.

He said the request allows the DPR to provide accurate data on the consumption of petroleum products for the country.

“Our attention was drawn to a misunderstanding regarding the request for daily inventory records by the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR.
