Regional council presidents pledge loyalty to FCTA and NASS

8 He called the allegations evil and a deliberate attempt to pit regional council presidents against the office of the FCT minister of state and representatives in the National Assembly.
9 Candido said troublemakers and political detractors are determined to ensure they sow the seeds of contention between the minister of state’s office and council presidents.
10 He condemned an individual’s desperate attempt to sow discord between the minister of state and the council chairmen and “must not be allowed to stay”.
11 According to him, the presidents of the regional councils will not take for granted the maternal love of the Minister of State.
12 “We are very loyal to him and we have never had him so well until he came. Therefore, no one should disturb this peace,
13 “We call on our people to ignore the malicious publication aimed at overheating the system.
14 “We will not be deterred from fulfilling our constitutional mandates of ensuring the well-being and security of our people,” Candido said.
15 In addition, Ms. Omolola Olanipekun, Acting Secretary of the CTF Regional Council Services Secretariat, discredited the report, saying that the regional council and the secretariat have a harmonious relationship in the conduct of policies of the CTF administration.
