On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, President Ramaphosa, in his capacity as Chairman of the SADC Body for Policy, Defense and Security Cooperation, will convene an Extraordinary Summit of the Troika of SADC Bodies, plus the countries that contribute personnel. and the Republic of Mozambique.
The SADC Troika Summit will review the progress of the SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM), which was deployed by SADC to support Mozambique in the fight against terrorism and acts of violent extremism.
SADC staff contributing countries are Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, South Africa, United Republic of Tanzania and Zambia.
