Pray more, complain less – cleric tells Nigerians

By Stella Kabruk

A Muslim cleric from Kaduna, Sheikh Ibrahim Asadus-Sunnah, advised Nigerians to devote themselves to prayer rather than persistent complaints about the country’s plight.

Asadus-Sunnah, who led Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the Tudun Wada Bashama LEA prayer ground in the metropolis of Kaduna, said that with intensified prayers for the country and the leaders, the situation could change. for the best.

He said the prayers would put leaders on the right track and guide them in carrying out their responsibilities.

“I sincerely believe that this nation will overcome its many socio-economic and security challenges that have created overwhelming poverty today.

“I also believe that with prayers and commitment from the government and the people, the challenges of killings, kidnappings and banditry will be overcome.

“I urge all those who have the privilege of making the sacrifice today, not to neglect their neighbors who are unable to make the sacrifice because this will guarantee conviviality and peace,” he said.

According to him, Eid-el-Kabir teaches and reminds Muslims of the meaning of sacrifice, love and the meaning of a cordial relationship with others.

“The importance of today’s celebration is rooted in peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and tolerance.

“These are the virtues that we as Nigerians must imbue ourselves with as we seek to cure our country of all shades of mistrust,” he added. (NAA)
