The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) on Wednesday urged aggrieved freight forwarders to explore internal dispute resolution mechanisms in addressing their grievances.
According to Tsanni, any freight forwarder, association of freight forwarders professional bodies and training institutions that violate sections 19 and 20 of CRFFN Act 2010 risk expulsion.
He urged them not to take their complaints against each other or the council to the public and press without exhausting the statutory channels provided by CRFFN in resolving disputes.
“The penalties are clearly spelt out in section 20 which are outright expulsion and the name struck out from the register of CRFFN.
“All complaints should be addressed to the chairman, freight forwarders disciplinary tribunal at the CRFFN headquarters and offices nationwide,’’ Tsanni said.https://nnn.ng/practitioners-that-violate-crffn-act-risk-expulsion-says-governing-council/
