Abuja, Nigeria – E be like say our police wan do serious work! As dem dey try tackle security wahala, the Police Service Commission (PSC) don set up one joint Ad-hoc Committee to recruit 30,000 fresh police officers sharp-sharp. Dis joint crew begin work after dem launch am for the PSC headquarters for Jabi, Abuja, on Wednesday, 26th November, 2025.
Chairman of the PSC, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), lead the event, and according to wetin dem talk, na presidential order be dis to dem, wey dem say go help better the police force. (E no go bad make dem sabi say police dey manage with small numbers). Di committee gats make sure say the recruitment process dey transparent and fair, no jaga-jaga.
As DIG Taiwo Lakanu represent the chairman talk ontop di matter, e yan say collaboration na di key to success. E reassure everybody say dem no go use high-handedness for dis recruitment matter; na merit go rule am. So, no be say if you get connection, na you collect pass oh!
Di Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, no carry last, e send CP Edwin Eloho from di Department of Training and Development to carry di gist; him confirm say di fresh recruitment go boost police work to protect us citizens. Na serious matter dem dey face, as e dey like say crime dey fine this side too much!
Inauguration of dis committee na major step for di Federal Government wey dey try tackle security matter, na so dem go increase police coverage. (E good abeg, as Since e be like sey we dey run out of officers to dey guard we). The PSC na di body wey fit appoint, promote and dismiss police officers, minus di IGP. So, no be small position dem dey hold for Nigeria policing affairs.
And for all dem wey dey wonder wetin government dey do about security, e be like say di President don order recruitment for police and even army. Dis na how di government want take face di security challenge for di country. If you no sabi wetin dey happen, just dem dey try make sure say we gree get more men to tackle di issue.
After all said and done, na by keeping up with dis recruitment go dem fit increase police-to-citizen ratio (you go fit see police near you if dem succeed). As matter dey hot for everywhere, we sabi say security na everybody’s job; if you see something, you gats talk am. And as dem don set to begin di recruitment process, we fit only hope say dem go follow di procedure wey go work and no go turn am into another wahala.
For now, na di latest update be dis, but e no mean say everybody go dey sit down make am happen. We gats help dem by giving support and information wey go fit help our security agencies do dem work well. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and pray say dis go take finish without gbese!
