Kaduna, Nigeria – The wahala no go end for football ownership saga wey concern Simon Karshe Cletus, former Nigeria U17 captain, as police don arrest Obaje FC owner, Gabriel Obaje. Na him case wey dey waka between Obaje FC and Mavlon FC wey don enter strong mata for NFF front.
For those wey no sabi, Cletus na hope for Nigeria football, as e don already shine for U20 team wey secure qualification for U20 World Cup by finishing third for AFCON. But as dem talk, na wahala de for this football pitch, no be wetin e suppose be.
So, wetin happen be say Obaje FC, wey get Obaje as the main paddy, go NFF to claim sey dem get ownership of Cletus. But Mavlon FC wey don dey claim Cletus since his U17 days no gree make dem carry am go bush. NFF hear dem both side, drop decision, and e be like sey dem don favor Obaje FC. (Who fit blame dem for wanting their own?)
But as dem dey celebrate, three days ago, wahala show face! Police don catch Obaje while e dey train im players, claiming sey dem get court order wey take hold am. Wetin be the gist? Dem don accuse am of forgery, saying sey e use fake signature from Cletus’s parents to collect consent for the boy dey palava.
Obaje dey talk say the condition wey im dey as e dey hold for Sabo Division for Kaduna South no make sense at all. E don dey there for three days with no peace, waiting for time wey dem go carry am go Abuja. (No be joke o, this matter don turn from pitch to prison!)
As e dey talk from im cell, Obaje no forget to call NFF for help. Dem don promise sey dem go send person come meet am for Abuja to support im case. Even Kaduna State FA Chairman don side with am to make sure sey justice go reign. Wetin dem dey play for this football, na movie or na real life we dey watch?
