Lafia, Nasarawa State – No be small matter oh! Police for Nasarawa State don catch 24 suspected kidnappers wey dey terrorize residents. This koko na from the mouth of the Commissioner of Police for the state, CP Shetima Jauro, as him talk wetin happen during press briefing wey take place on Friday. E say dem nab one woman wey go by Asabe Isah, wey conspire with her husband, Isah Umar, to kidnap one two-year-old pikin, Godwin Abeson. Dis palava happen for Sabon Pegi, Shabu on October 14.
According to CP Jauro, dem take the small pikin go Angwan Nungu for Lafia, give am to one Emmanuel Polycarp wey lock am up and begin dey demand N15 million ransom. Chai! Na wetin pikin go do for this kind matter? No be small wahala be dis!
“Na on October 14, 2025 at around 7:30 pm, person come report for ‘E’ Division say dem don kidnap Godwin Abeson (two-yr-old) from Sabon Pegi Shabu and dem dey demand ransom of N15 million,” Jauro explain like say person dey tell am story. “As we hear dis one, police detectives from Shabu Division quick launch manhunt for di kidnappers. Na so Asabe, Isah, and Emmanuel dem catch and rescue di pikin on October 16. Di boy don reunite with him family, and dem don confess to wetin dem do. Investigation dey continue.”
But no be only dis trio, oh! CP Jauro talk say dem don catch additional 21 suspected kidnappers for different part of the state during dis period. Dem also recover three firearms and eight rounds of live ammunition from di suspects. E con add say di Police Command dey ready to protect di lives and property of di citizens.
“We go continue to gather intel, strengthen community policing, and make sure say all di criminals face di full weight of di law,” CP Jauro yan as e dey encourage di community to sabi make dem continue dey vigilant and help dem with credible information wey go help catch dis criminals wahala.
