PDP Governors Forum to meet on State of the Nation – DG

Governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will meet in Bauchi on Monday to deliberate on unemployment and the state of the Nigerian economy.

Hon. CID Maduabum, the Director General (CEO), PDP Governors Forum (PDP-GF), said Sunday in a statement in Abuja.

Maduabum said the PDP governors at the meeting will review and deliberate on the current state of the nation and the state of their respective states.

He said the health of Nigeria‘s democracy, including the amendment to the electoral law and constitutional amendment bills, pending before the National Assembly, would also feature in discussions at the meeting.

Maduabum said the meeting would continue to question the federal government’s response to the continuing insecurity in the country and come up with viable solutions.

The CEO said that the governors would continue to compare and exchange information and ideas on best practices on various aspects of governance in their respective states, which had become major beacons, offering substantial democracy benefits to through projects and policies impacting the lives of Nigerians. .

“Governors will also receive reports from some of the committees working on various aspects of party repositioning, including the party’s electronic registration program.”

Maduabum said Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohamed will be the main host, while forum chair the Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, would chair the meeting.
