PDP chieftain alleges plan to secretly eliminate Lagos opposition candidate
Bode George, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has warned that there is a “grand design” to “secretly eliminate” Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) ahead of the Lagos state governorship election.
Speaking at a press conference, George urged Nigerians to hold those responsible if anything happens to Rhodes-Vivour.
He also called on Lagosians to shun “divisive politics of annihilation” and come out in large numbers to vote for the LP candidate.
George condemned those threatening voters, and urged INEC to use a new system to ensure transparency, after criticising the “archaic” method used for the February 25 poll.
