On May 25, 2021, Africa DayBrand Africa will announce the 100 Most Admired Brands in Africa.

Brand Africa will also announce brands admired for being helpful during the Covid-19 pandemic.

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, May 13, 2021 – / African Media Agency (AMA) / – Brand Africa will present the 2021 Brand Africa 100 ranking: Africa’s Best Brands: Africa’s Best 100 Brands, in a series of live mixed events in various countries. and virtual events starting in Uganda at 8:45 AM and ending with a live event in Côte d’Ivoire at 6:00 PM on Africa Day, May 25, 2021.

As we rebuild our economies, new opportunities arise. In the context of the AfCFTA, which embodies increased intra-African trade, self-reliance and a commitment to build back better, how will African brands and companies react and reposition themselves after the pandemic? What brands have retained, improved or lost their status among African consumers? What brands are recognized for having been helpful during the Covid-19 pandemic?

Program

The mixed multi-country launch program, hosted by Brand Africa Founder and President Thebe Ikalafeng, on May 25, 2021, will kick off in Uganda with a virtual announcement of Uganda, East Africa and Global results at 8:45 AM. These announcements will be followed by back-to-back events in Lesotho at 9:45 am SAST, Botswana at 11:30 am SAST, Namibia at 1:15 pm SAST, Nigeria at 2:00 pm WAT and will close with a live launch in Abidjan, Ivory Coast at 6:00 pm GMT. All announcements will include panel discussions and / or keynotes with local and pan-African opinion leaders, brand creators and profiles of leading brands.

Brand Africa 100: the best brands in Africa

Established in 2011, the Brand Africa 100: Africa’s Best Brands ranking is the most authoritative survey and analysis of brands and underlying businesses in Africa, according to a Geopoll study of more than 25 countries spanning all five economic regions. Together they represent more than 75% of the population and more than 75% of Africa’s GDP. An analysis of Kantar and Brand Leadership data over the past 10 years has established that, on average, only 20% of the brands admired by Africans are made in Africa. What will it be in 2021?

World and African leading audience of opinion leaders, media and decision makers focused on building, investing and / or influencing companies and brands in Africa. Over the years, Brand Africa 100: Africa’s Best Brands has been hosted by the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the Kenya Stock Exchanges and the Nigerian Stock Exchanges and was staffed with CEOs, Marketing Directors, Media communication, entrepreneurs and opinion leaders of these exchanges and other leading African companies. such as global economist Dr. Dambisa Moyo, national brand pioneer and Brand America bestselling author, Simon Anholt, and Africa Rising best-seller Professor Vijay Mahajan.

The results will be published once again as the cover of African Business, which will go on sale globally in early June 2021.
