Oman reports 221 new COVID-19 cases, 132,011 in total

The Omani Health Ministry on Monday announced 221 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number in the sultanate to 132,011, the official Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

Meanwhile, 146 people recovered during the past 24 hours, taking the overall recoveries to 124,213, while two people died, pushing the tally up to 1,514, according to a ministry statement quoted by ONA.

Oman reported its first case of a new strain of COVID-19 in a British citizen permanently residing in the sultanate.
