Ogudu Bridge Go Close, Motorists Dey Warned Make Dem Manage Am!

Lagos, Nigeria – Omo, wetin dey happen for Ogudu/Ifako Bridge no be small matter. Lagos State government don drop the wahala as dem go start maintenance for di bridge wey go last 110 days from June 28 to October 15. E get as e be, right?

Oluwaseun Osiyemi, di Commissioner for Transportation, don yarn dis one for statement wey everybody dey talk about. Di repair work wey dem don shelve before go dey happen for eight phases – if you like, just call am ‘bridge gym session.’ Dem dey make plan to fix both lanes, so no be say dem go just enter one side today and leave di other side in limbo.

For di first to fourth phases, dem go start from Ogudu/Ifako Bridge wey dey come Alapere. Dis one go start June 28 go end August 16. (Hope say dem fit finish am on time, because Lagos people no dey like delay, my guy!)

Then, for di phases five to eight, dem go fix di part wey dey come Oworoshoki from August 16 to October 5. Na some serious jaga-jaga work be dis, because e no go dey sweet for any motorist wey wan pass during dis time. Wetin dem go do? Dem ask all di motorists make dem find alternative routes.

Di roads wey dem dey suggest na: if you dey Iyana Oworo, you fit use Gbagada to enter Anthony and connect Ikorodu Road. All dis hustle na to make sure you no go dey stuck for back of traffic like a goat wey no wan move. And for phase two, if you dey run from Eko Bridge, just take Funsho Williams Avenue enter Ikorodu Road. Simple as ABC!

Osiyemi still no gree leave us o. E don assure us say officers from Lagos State Traffic Management Authority go dey around to help manage di palava wey dem call traffic. Dem go dey there to minimize wahala wey fit follow when dem don start di repair work. But e no mean say make you no prepare yourself mentally for some road gbege. Traffic fit scattered like baskets for market!

So, gather yourself and make you no vex too much if dem close di bridge small. Just like every Nigerian, we sabi say patience na virtue (and e go make sense for your pocket, abeg!).
