Obasanjo Library wan sue EFCC, demand N3.5bn for raid wey mess dey

Abeokuta, Ogun State – Na wah! Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library just land form for EFCC, as dem don demand N3.5 billion and public apology because of di invasion wey happen on Sunday. EFCC operatives just waka come library, carry 93 suspected internet fraudsters go and seize 18 vehicles plus plenty mobile devices. Wetin happen? Make I tell you.

According to Vitalis Ortese, di managing director of di library, e talk say di action of di EFCC operatives na “unlawful” and “a direct assault on everything dis institution dey stand for.” (E fit just won collect small change for corner of dem pockets?) Ortese say di invasion na clear violation of OOPL’s rights as company and also di rights of di people wey dey gather for event wey no concern EFCC.

Ortese no gree rest o! E go on top di press briefing wey dem do on Wednesday, make everybody sabi say di invasion be like wetin dey break rule of law. E demand say dem go run proper investigation and publish di report, plus make dem drop public apology for major newspapers. “Dem need to return di damage wey dem cause to the people wey dem arrest and di vehicles wey dem carry come,” he talk.

But no be only N1 billion for those wey suffer injury o! Na for dem to rectify wetin dem spoil. Ortese still dey demand another N2.5 billion as “atonement” for di damage wey dem don cause to di reputations of di library and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo himself. (E be like say dem dey play with fire here).

Ortese dey vex, as e talk say di police wey suppose gree work hand in hand no even respect di police officers wey dey for OOPL premises. “If EFCC no gree apologise and settle di matter within seven days, we go carry dem go court,” he conclude. (Na so wahala dey start, sha).

E talk say families and international tourists dey holiday, entrepreneurs dey do business, and youths dey organize musical shows—na creativity and productivity we suppose dey support, not criminalize. “Dis kind operation dey send wrong message to di youths—we suppose encourage ambition, not make dem fear say na crime to hustle,” Ortese conclude.

Dem don engage legal counsel, security experts, plus civil society partners to make sure say dem get accountability for di wahala wey don happen. So, as dem dey stack di demands high, we go watch as di show dey unfold, no be small apple wey dey roll for ground.
