“Ayodele has a way of coaxing his victims that he will give them work and they can be sure their letter of appointment will be out soon.

“So far, as at the last count, he has collected 1.9 million naira from various victims.

First Bank Plc

“His account with First Bank Plc. revealed that he personally raised 1.3 million naira out of the total money through transfers.

“Ayodele claimed that he sent the money to a certain Mr. Adu who works with the NDLEA with the aim of recruiting people in various services,” said the corps commander.

Mr Abodunrin has advised members of the public to be wary and stop giving money to people promising to help them find jobs.

He said NSCDC authorities have advised members of the public not to fall victim to con artists because the body is not recruiting.

“People should stop donating money for jobs. Jobs are not for sale, if jobs are available they will get it, no matter how much money you pay you will not get it.

“As far as Nigeria is concerned, we don’t have recruiting agents, maybe they do elsewhere, but here in Nigeria the agencies are recruiting directly.

“And if an individual tells you that they can help you recruit from three or five agencies, that’s a clear sign that the person must be skeptical,” Abodunrin said.
