NOWA lauds its 115 Primary School graduates

The Naval Officers’ Wives Association (NOWA) on Wednesday congratulated the 115 graduating students of NOWA Kindergarten and Primary School, Mobile Road, Apapa and instructed them to stay focused on their studies.

The National President, Ms. Aisha Gambo, presented the commendation at the school premises in Lagos State.

The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) reports that 38 students graduated from Kindergarten 2 to Kindergarten 1, 40 students graduated from Kindergarten 2 to Primary 1 while 37 primary students graduated from secondary.

Gambo urged graduates to keep working hard and be determined to succeed no matter what as other challenges were to present themselves in high school.

“Our adorable babies going to kindergarten and those going to primary school, I hope I’ll see you in your next class by September.

“After overcoming the challenges associated with each step, we are gathered here today to celebrate your success.

“I am sure your parents who believed in you every step of the way over the past two years could not be prouder.

She said the academic performance and moral conduct of the students had been impressive and encouraging.

“I encourage parents to kindly continue to support us in the training and education of our future generation,” she said.

Gambo applauded the efforts of all the teachers, saying they all played a role in shaping the destiny of the children.

She notably recognized Ms Robert Rosemary and Ms Adanko ‘Rose (Kindergarten 2 teachers), Ms Otejiri Eunice and Miss Okezie Ngozi (Kindergarten 2 teachers) and Ms Oyedoyin Titilayo and LED Isaac (Primary 5 teachers).

In addition, NOWA Parents Teachers Association (PTA) President Mr. Musa Wakawa urged graduates to focus on character building and not just intelligence.

“Your character is your identity not your intelligence. You can memorize and understand encyclopedias, but without the right character your chances in life are limited.

“With the right character, there is no limit to what you can do, where you can go and who you can meet on the journey of life,” Wakawa said.

NAN reports that Rear Admiral Jason Gbassa, the Flag Commander (FOC) Western Naval Command, also graced the occasion.

Plastic chairs and benches as well as a giant photocopier were donated to the school. (NOPE)
