Farah who was represented by Dr Baba Ibrahim-Mundi, a deputy director at NITT, said partnership with KADCCIMA and other economic business bodies was needed in view of the relevance of vibrant transportation system to businesses.

He noted that NITT trained people on transportation and logistics in Nigeria which has impacted positively on the ease of movement of goods and services for maximum benefit and minimal waste by business organisations and persons.

“From our researches, we got to know that majority of our problems in this country borders on transportation, this is because of the poor road infrastructures and lack of regulations of road transportation.

“The main reason we came here is to partner with KADCCIMA, also a lot of people are craving to come and participate in this trade fair but transportation is one of the basic issues that may have prevented them.

“We can partner with KADCCIMA and other relevant bodies across the state to benefit from knowledge on transportation and logistics.

“The economic potentials of Nigeria cannot be unlocked without transportation, this has to do with exhibitions and having quality goods become valued when they move from one point to another.

“Nigeria does not have a national transport system as a policy, the NITT has alone been on the forefront of this issue for many years and has yet to see the light of the day.

“The larger part of those responsible for economic growth are those petty traders and you don’t become a petty trader if you don’t move around, therefore the government must invest heavily it for economic development,” Ibrahim-Mundi said.
