Abuja, Nigeria – Naija Immigration Service (NIS) don dey run am for our padi dem abroad! Dem don announce new plan to introduce Single Travel Emergency Passport (STEP). This one go replace dat old Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) wey no plenty people sabi again.
The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kemi Nandap, shine light on dis new passport during Joint Thematic Meeting wey happen with France government. Dem dey talk about how to improve identity management and border governance (we all sabi say na wetin improve our Naija way of life be).
Nandap talk say dis new STEP go fit help Naija citizens wey dey outside the country, especially if dem passport don expire, lost or even stolen. E go allow dem return home without wahala (we all know say Naija home sweet home!).
Dem go issue dis new passport for designated Nigerian embassies and consulates and e go stand for only one entry into Naija. Nandap talk say, “With STEP, Naija people wey dey abroad go fit come back home safely and everything go secure.” (We go fit say ‘welcome back’ with no stress now!)
Nandap also talk for her keynote address wey she name, “Insights on Prevention and Protection as Strategic Pillars to Effective Law Enforcement and Prosecution Responses.” She highlight say NIS don dey waka towards better reforms wey go fight irregular migration, smuggling of persons and trafficking too (nobody want make dem carry our padi dem waka anyhow).
She declare say NIS dey serious with their plan to improve border governance and strengthen partnership with other countries (we dey look out for our people, no be small!).
The news na good one wey fit make sense to everyone. NIS dey work hard to make sure say dem align with international best practices for better service delivery. Na so dem dey assure us say migration go dey orderly, safe and regular.
As this meeting gather many stakeholders from inside Africa and Europe wey get to do with migration like NCFRMI, NAPTIP, ECOWAS, AU and EU, e mean say dem dey try put control for our borders. Na big step for Naija to improve wetin dey happen for our migration system.
Dem dey plan to continue this strategies so that our padi dem no go dey face any wahala when dem dey try come back home. Dem dey diversify the strategy wey go make am easy and fast for all Naija people.
