NIS boss warns officers against indiscipline, unprofessional conduct

Mohammed Falali, Comptroller, Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, in charge of Adamawa, has warned officers and men to avoid indiscipline and acts capable of tarnishing the service’s image.

Mr. Falali, took the lead at the Parade ceremony of 176 commissioned officers on Friday in Yola.

He advised the officers to have good conduct and worthy Service ambassadors wherever they might be.

“The officers who faint are all Adamawa Indians, they include 24 Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II, 43 Assistant Immigration Inspectors and 109 Immigration Assistants, respectively.

“I urge everyone to avoid any act of indiscipline that could tarnish the image of the service.

“My hope is that you all demonstrate excellent performance and professionalism in the performance of your duties,” he said.

In his remarks, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri congratulated the newly recruited officers on the successful completion of the training exercise.

Mr. Fintiri, represented by Mr. Sulaiman Palam, Permanent Secretary, Security / Special Duties, tasked staff with intensifying efforts to detain illegal aliens entering the country.

He also recommended that the officers always be guided by the rules that govern the operations of the Service based on honesty and professionalism.

According to him, the state government will continue to collaborate with security agencies to end crime, protect lives and property.
