NiMet predicts 3 days sunshine, haziness

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) predicted sunshine and blur across the country from Friday to Sunday.

NiMet’s weather forecast released Thursday in Abuja predicted sunny and foggy skies over the northern and north-central regions throughout the forecast period on Friday.

He further predicted that Nasarawa, Benue, Kogi and Kwara would be under partly cloudy and foggy skies.

Hazy skies with little cloud cover will prevail over southern interior cities throughout the forecast period, according to NiMet.

He further predicted isolated thunderstorms over parts of Ondo, Cross River, Lagos, Delta, Ogun, Rivers and Bayelsa later in the day.

“On Saturday, dust haze conditions are expected over the northern part of the country throughout the forecast period. A sunny and hazy atmosphere is expected in the North Central region throughout the forecast period.

“Misty skies with little cloud cover will prevail over southern interior cities throughout the forecast period.

“Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected over southern coastal towns in the morning with the prospect of a few thunderstorms over parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom during the afternoon and evening,” did he declare.

According to NiMet, a dust haze in good visibility is expected over all parts of the north and north-central throughout the forecast period on Sunday.
