City, Nigeria – E be like say Nigeria waka carry dem presidential Boeing 737-700 Business Jet go lose, as dem don comot am from sale listing for JetHQ website. PUNCH wey sabi correct gist, don check am and the aircraft no dey there again. Na wah o!
Laurie Barringer, wey be Manager of Market Research for JetHQ, yarn say dem no get the jet for sale again. She even talk say make we dash go meet Nigerian government if we wan know wetin happen to the jet but we no fit find any correct answer from dem yet. n“We no longer have the listing on the Boeing. You will need to reach out to the Nigerian Government for information as to what has become of the aircraft. I appreciate your time,” she talk. E be like say many pple still dey wonder wetin dey go on for this matter (like say dem dey hide something).
Before this wahala, the jet bin dey market since July 2025 as part of Tinubu government plan to cut cost and balance tinz. But since dem list am, four months don pass and nobody don carry am come back home. Na real drama be dis, as JetHQ even tok say the jet dey “still available” but dem no wan drop any more correct information. Ahn ahn, wetin dem dey hide?
The last time we check, the plane don enter refurbish ground for AMAC’s Basel facility. Dem fix first-class seat, change cabin carpet and do major inspections, doing am like say dem dey prepare am for red carpet event (I dey gree!) Earlier in 2005, the jet don enter our life for $43 million when Olusegun Obasanjo dey run show, but now e fit worth $56 million. Abeg, who go buy am, na question be dat?
The jet come dey part of Nigerian Presidential Air Fleet, but since the Tinubu government don bring am out like say dem dey seriously wan start their ‘cost-cutting’ wahala, people dey reason whether na truly strategic move or na just governmental jinx being at play. Even the media aide for National Security Adviser, Ismail Garba, promise for reply, but e no show up. Hmmm, this kind thing fit make person dey suspect plenty tinz!
For now, one sure thing wey we sabi na say this jet don retire from market e, and the future wey dey await am be mystery level 100. Na so our drama for Nigerian governance dey unfold as we dey follow am. Who knows? Maybe dem go decide to keep am again like a national treasure (or dem just dey take us play).
