The son of late former Gov. Abiola Ajimobi also called for a peaceful general elections, urging Nigerians especially youths to exhibit greater commitment to nation building.
Ajimobi commended the efforts of the nation’s nationalists in actualising the country’s independence in 1960.
He also commended the heroes of Nigeria’s democracy who paved the way for the nation’s current dispensation.
Ajimobi encouraged youths to participate in politics and governance process, noting that the nation’s heroes past achieved various feats as youths.
He congratulated Oyo State citizens, charging politicians and political parties to embrace peace in the coming election.
Ajimobi said that such was a way of moving the state and country forward, emphasising that 2023 is a decisive year for the future of Nigeria.
He appealed to the INEC to take concrete steps in ensuring the elections are free and fair with the outcome reflecting the will of the people.
