Niger signs its fourth Country Framework Program (CPP) for 2022-2027

Mahamane Sani Mahamadou, Minister of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energies of Niger, and Hua Liu, Deputy Director General of the IAEA and Head of the Technical Cooperation Department, on January 21 signed the Niger Framework Program (CPP) for the period 2022-2027. A CPF is the reference framework for medium-term planning of technical cooperation between a Member State and the IAEA and identifies priority areas where the transfer of nuclear technology and technical cooperation resources will be directed to support development objectives. national.

Niger has been an IAEA Member State since 1969. Its 2022-2027 CPP identifies five priority areas:

Nuclear and radiological safety and security Food and agriculture Health and nutrition Water and environment Mines, energy and industry
