2 The Speaker of the Assembly, Abdullahi Wuse,made this known when the State Law Reforms Commission members visited the leadership of the House in Minna.
3 Wuse said that the lawmakers will work with the state judiciary to ensure the best legislation for the state.
4 “We will continue to involve and ensure timely communication with the judiciary in all our activities to ensure our responsibilities are in line with the constitutional guide and law,” he said.
6 The speaker said as lawmakers, they will discharge their responsibilities on the constitutional guide and law.
7 The speaker expressed regrets that he was unable to ensure the amendment of the revised 1989 laws of Niger State when he served as the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.
8 “We cannot be using the 1989 because there are many problems associated with it.
9 “When I was Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, I tried my best to update the laws but it never happened. I regret it.
10 “I hope the state is able to do that within the next three years and you can be sure that the Assembly will give you all the necessary support to ensure that comes to fruition.’’
