Neymar to miss remainder of season with ankle injury
Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward, Neymar, will be out for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury that requires surgery.

The Brazilian suffered the injury during PSG‘s game against Lille on February 19th, forcing him to be carried off on a stretcher.

PSG said Neymar has faced instances of instability in his right ankle in the past, and the medical staff recommended a ligament repair operation.

Recovery is expected to take roughly three to four months.
Neymar has a history of ankle and foot injuries, which forced him to miss games in both 2019 and 2021.
PSG is facing an uphill battle to reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League on Wednesday against Bayern Munich.
However, PSG still holds an eight-point lead over Marseille in Ligue 1, as they aim for their 11th French title.
Neymar has contributed significantly to the team’s success this season, scoring 18 goals and recording 17 assists in just 29 games across all competitions.
