The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), has called for the immediate repair of all federal bad roads in the state.

The national president of the association, Mr Gbemileke Ogunrombi, made this call in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday.

Ogunrombi called on President Muhammadu Buhari through the Minister of Works, Mr Babatunde Fashola to as a matter of urgency, wade into the deplorable condition of federal roads in the state.

He said that many of the roads had worsened the plight of not only indigent students of the state but all other travellers.

“Some of the roads, which have become a death trap, have claimed the lives of many road users including lecturers; one instance is the case of Osasa bridge in Ogun east area of the state.

“Other roads that can best be described as death trap include; Lagos- Abeokuta expressway, Abeokuta – Ibadan road (Obantoko), Lanfenwa – Aiyetoro, Ijebu Ode – Ibadan road among others.

“Our roads should not continue to be in this deplorable state and this current administration continues to watch without considering them for repair to curtail any further loss of lives,” he said. (NAN)
