Mrs Rukayat Moisemhe Ikem, a News Agency of Nigeria Industry Correspondent has received the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) 2020 merit award for excellent reportage of the institute’s activities.
Mr Bode Ayeku, ICSAN President, at the institute’s 44th Annual Conference Dinner and Luncheon on Friday, said it was in recognition of her tremendous role in covering its activities in 2020.
ICSAN is a leading, statutorily established professional body, dedicated to enhancing the status and practice of Corporate Governance and Public Administration.
Ayeku urged her to see the award as a reward for her diligent, prompt and apt reportage of the institute’s efforts at promoting good corporate governance principles, ethics and practices.
He said that the award was a morale booster to do greater work in her chosen career path.
“The governing council of this great institute, two years ago, decided to reward our media persons for their support at reporting all of our activities.
“Today, we begin a journey of our inaugural media award and hope to continue in this stead henceforth to reward our media partners.
“We congratulate you for your great coverage and reportage of all our activities and hope you strive to do better as we get together on this journey,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Mr Nornah Awoh, Chief Equity Analyst, Palesa Capital Markets Associates Limited; Mr Oscar Onyema, Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria Stock Exchange; and Dr Christopher Kolade, a former Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK ; received individual personal awards in excellence.
NAN also reports that Mrs Funmi Omoboriowo and Mr Babajide Alli-Balogun of Eko FM, and Channels Television were also recipients of the institute’s media award.
The Bank of Industry clinched the institute’s corporate media award.
