Abuja, Nigeria – Everyday, Naija no dey sleep! E be like say hustle na our national anthem. From morning till night, our people dey waka dey find bread. E no easy o!

Dem say Naija population don pass 200 million, and everybody dey find how dem go make small change. E no matter wetin you sabi, so far you fit hustle, you go find something to do. Whether na sell suya, drive keke, or even dey do online business, the message be clear: no work, no chop.

Just last week, a group of young Naija entrepreneurs gather for Lagos to showcase dia skills and dem latest grind. Dem call am ‘Hustle Expo 2023’. E still dey hot for my mind. This expo no be small thing o. E get workshops, networking, and even masterclasses wey go make you open your eye. Dem no wan make ordinary person dey waka, dem dey push everybody to become better versions of demself.

But wetin dey happen for this hustle matter? E fit dey very tough! Sometimes, you go wahala just to get small capital to start your business. E be like say dem strong arms dey for market wey dey hold small businesses like say dem get juju. (Like say dem no want make we shine).

And how about those wey get idea but no get money? E be like say dem dey tiff dem ideas wey no get meaning! (I no fit talk wetin I don hear, but you sabi wetin I mean.) Dem say na those wey sabi politics dey always dey bust dem hustle, talk less of those wey don get strong connection. E get as e be!

But no wahala, Naija people dey resilient, and we sabi how to bounce back. Dey say ‘When there’s a will, there’s a way’, and we don turn am to ‘When there’s hustle, there’s enjoyment.’ Na this spirit we go carry go everywhere wey we dey.
