Myanmar inaugurates awareness center and warehouse in Lancang-Mekong-
Lancang-Mekong Project Warehouse and Awareness Center in Shan
Myanmar has inaugurated the Lancang-Mekong Project Warehouse and Awareness Center in Shan state, according to a statement from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar on Tuesday.


Under the Lancang-Mekong Special Cooperation Fund (LMC), the center was built in Pindaya Township to store relief supplies and raise awareness of natural disasters, according to the statement.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on Monday, Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Thet Thet Khine expressed thanks to China for the attendance.

Zheng Zhihong, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, attended the opening ceremony in Pindaya Township in eastern Myanmar’s Shan State, according to the statement.
The six Lancang-Mekong countries comprise China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand. ■
