Abuja, Nigeria – The court drama wey dey unfold around Mele Kyari, the former Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), just get another twist. Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court don drop the case file wey involve the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into the registry for fresh reassignment. Na wah o!

This matter come after EFCC lawyer, Ogechi Ujam, beg for more time to wrap up investigation. Apparently, dem no fit do am quick-quick because Justice Nwite dey enjoy vacation vibes as vacation judge. E no wan disrupt holiday wahala, abeg!

On August 19, Justice Nwite don already freeze four accounts wey dem link to Kyari. The EFCC come present the case wey show say dis accounts dey involved in serious allegations like money laundering, conspiracy, and abuse of office. Who wan drag dem into this matter for no reason na? Na only God sabi!

Dem name the accounts dem as: Jaiz Bank account number 0017922724 (Mele Kyari), 0018575055 (Guwori Community Dev. Fund), and 0018575141 (Guwori Community Development Foundation Flood Relief). This na classic case of ‘follow the money’, my people!

EFCC don already declare sey dem need to protect the funds wey dey inside dis accounts till dem finish their investigation. Dem accuse Kyari sey e dey use these accounts to facilitate contracts and launder money wey no get legal standing. Na serious allegations wey fit land person for big trouble, abi no be so?

EFCC investigator Amin Abdullahi come talk sey dem receive petition from Guardian of Democracy and Rule of Law against Kyari since April 24. Since then, dem don dey carry out investigation to trace the money movement and dem say e no too sweet! E full ground! E get as e dey go, wey we no go fit ignore.
