Man, 24 in court for alleged assault, theft

 A 24 year old man Sunday Godwin was on Thursday arraigned at an Iyaganku Magistrates Court in Ibadan over alleged assault theft and causing malicious damage Godwin whose residential address was not provided is charged with conspiracy assault theft and causing malicious damage The Prosecutor Mr Philip Amusan told the court that the defendant and others now at large committed the offence at about 2 00p m on Sept 28 at Elebu area of Ibadan Amusan alleged that Godwin unlawfully assaulted a resident Oluwatunmise Oyalowo and caused him bodily injury He said that Godwin also stole one smart watch worth N25 000 belonging to Oyalowo He said that the defendant maliciously damaged one Infinix Hot 9 phone worth N85 000 belonging to Oyalowo He said the offences contravened sections 516 252 390 9 and 451 B of the Criminal laws of Oyo State 2000 The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charges The Magistrate Mrs O A Akande granted him bail in the sum of N50 000 and one surety in like sum She adjourned the case until Nov 14 for hearing NewsSourceCredit NAN

The Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan told the court that the defendant and others now at large, committed the offence at about 2.00p.

Oluwatunmise Oyalowo

Amusan alleged that Godwin unlawfully assaulted a resident, Oluwatunmise Oyalowo and caused him bodily injury.

He said that Godwin also stole one smart watch worth N25, 000, belonging to Oyalowo.

Infinix Hot

He said that the defendant maliciously damaged one Infinix Hot 9 phone worth N85, 000 belonging to Oyalowo.

He said the offences contravened sections 516, 252, 390(9) and 451(B) of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs O.

A Akande granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 and one surety in like sum.

She adjourned the case until Nov. 14 for hearing.
