This na the big first match for 2025-2026 season, as our beloved Merlus don finally bounce back into Ligue 1. But no be only naija style we listen to the crowd; this match go dey guichets fermés – that means no more tickets to chop!
But abeg, make we no deceive ourselves – if you no hurry come, you fit miss the action, ’cause dem don sanction the stadium due to all the smoke wahala wey happen last season. Na only 4,342 seats go dey empty, but ‘no worries’, we fit still catch the vibes!
The fans wey get tickets don relocate, especially the 2,000 football lovers. But the real hard guys, the Ultras from the kop sud, no go fit enter! Na because say dem dey collect disciplinary action for their crazy moves last season. (No be small wahala, e be like say them dey hold grudge sharp-sharp!)
Now, let’s gist about wetin go happen that day! Things go kick off around 1 PM with some serious entertainment as the bagad of Lorient go dey perform and players go dey make their grand entrance by 1:25 PM. E go bellowing open at 1:30 PM for all the saavy fans wey don dey dey on point!

The derby go spark heat as we dey expect some fierce Rennes supporters, about 700 of dem. Those guys sabi rally their team: nearly 400 dem dey come by bus! Na serious matter o – the risk level na 2, so everybody abeg make you behave!
As the kop sud no go fit enter, we dey look up to the kop nord to carry the vibe and support Merlus with loud cheers. Na so we fit carry our boys go victory! This match suppose sweet like palm wine, and we go dey there munching popcorn!
