Liverpool’s Firmino to leave at end of season} Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool at the end of this season, despite manager Jurgen Klopp expressing his desire for the player to stay beyond his current deal.

Firmino has struggled with injury and has only made five appearances since the 2018 World Cup. The arrival of forwards Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo, combined with Fabio Carvalho, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, has increased the likelihood of Firmino facing reduced game time.

Firmino will join Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, among others, as players out of contract in the summer.

The decision means only Mohamed Salah remains from the famed “front three” of Salah, Firmino and Sadio Mane that brought so much success to Klopp’s tenure.
