Live Nation acquires majority stake in Clockenflap, one of Asia’s best-known festival brands

Live Nation, the leader in live entertainment, has today announced it has acquired a majority interest in Clockenflap, a Hong Kong-based event organiser specialising in music festivals and concerts, and its flagship Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival, one of Asia’s best-known festival brands. The Clockenflap team will continue to curate, manage and produce its festivals and events, now with access to Live Nation’s unparalleled festival portfolio and resources.

About Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival

Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival made its much-anticipated return over March 3 – 5, after a four-year hiatus, with a sold-out event that featured world-class live performances from a diverse array of artists including Arctic Monkeys (UK), Balming Tiger (Korea), Bombay Bicycle Club (UK), The Cardigans (Sweden), Chai (Japan), HYBS (Thailand), Leenalchi (Korea), Milet (Japan), N.Y.P.D (Hong Kong), Wu-Tang Clan (US) and Yellow (Taiwan).

Founded in 2008, the three-day, 30,000-per-day capacity festival takes place annually at Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront Event Space. The festival has announced the dates for its next edition, which will take place from December 1 – 3, 2023.

Clockenflap also organises regular touring concerts in Hong Kong under the brand Clockenflap Presents, with recent sold-out shows announced for Cigarettes After Sex and Honne.
