Lagos, Nigeria – Early morning wey dem dey sleep like baby, Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit don bust 49 suspects for Victoria Island, no be joke! This operation, wey start around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, no be small wahala o. Na Chief Superintendent of Police Adetayo Akerele lead the charge, and everywhere no suppose dey peaceful again for those way fit disturb our harmony.
Dem target areas like Maroko Sandfill and Bonny Camp, where bad guys dey hide like say dem go win Oscar for criminal behavior. Akerele talk say this action follow after plenty complaints and tips wey residents give dem. Na from Naija citizen, dem dey take action, no be small!
Out of the 49 people dem carry, 48 na men and one na woman. E be like say men dey take this criminal activities level serious pass. (Eh, na so dem dey break heart for ladies too, but no dey deter them too much o!)
Akerele clarify say the main aim na to clear out the street thugs and pickpockets wey dey disturb normal people wey dey hustle for day time. According to am, ‘those wey fit try challenge peace for our community better change their ways or prepare to face better gbege.’ Chai! The man no dey reason soft!
He also share say dem dey run this enforcement operation at least three times a week now. Chook your eye here, be like say Lagos state no wan take any nonsense again, e don reach time to clear out those illegal settlements full everywhere.
As for the suspects, dem don charge all 49 for court according to Lagos State law. Akerele no dey sleep for inside the matter; him dey assure everybody say dem go continue the fight to keep Lagos clean, safe, and provide space wey people go fit live without fear.
