Osusu, in the Yoruba language, is symbolic, and means a bunch of brooms that can be difficult to break. This was compared to how Nigerians should stick together.

The performance had the cast perform music in different indigenous languages, sensitizing Nigerians to cast off greed, pride, nepotism, moral decadence, and kidnapping, as well as embrace unity and peace.

The play also focused on the importance of hard work, honesty, sincerity, and absorbing the beautiful, unique, and rich culture of the nation.

Chief Olusegun Runsewe

Earlier, Chief Olusegun Runsewe, director general of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), praised the moral projected in the play.

Runsewe pointed out that there was a great need for Nigerians to do everything in their power to ensure the unity of the nation.

“I am grateful to the Lagos state government for the hospitality so far and the message conveyed in the play, we should all know that we don’t need to fight each other,” he said.
