Kwara Govt adopts preventive measures against COVID-19
The Kwara Government has introduced tougher measures to prevent the importation and spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.
The Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Kayode Alabi, said this during the technical committee briefing to newsmen in Ilorin on Wednesday.
He explained that the present adminstration would do everything humanly possible to safeguard the health of its people.
According to him, the rate at which the virus has spread to some parts of the country especially neighbouring states to Kwara, it is imperative for government to take some hard decisions to help protect the lives of residents.
Alabi said all hands must be on deck to find lasting solution to the menace.
The deputy governor urged traditional and religious institutions to help señsitise the general public and ensure compliance with the government’s policy and other authority directives geared towards preventing COVID-19.
