Kwara Governor Declares Public Holiday as Muslim Celebrate New Year

Kwara State, Nigeria – Make we shout am for the people wey dey Kwara! Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq don declare Thursday as public holiday, no be small. This one na to mark the new Islamic year 1447 Hijrah. Na wetin we dey call Big Gist today, my people.

According to the governor’s statement wey comot from Rafiu Ajakaye, him Chief Press Secretary, this holiday no be just for play o. Na serious matter as he dey encourage everybody, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters, to celebrate this new year with joy.

AbdulRazaq don urge the Muslim community make dem reflect well on wetin this Hijrah celebration mean for everybody and for di larger society (no time to slack for wisdom like dis). Another important point wey the governor highlight na the need for peaceful living together. E talk say we gatz put dialog and respect for one another. E mean say make we dey carry each other’s wahala for head like say na our own wahala.

According to am, “Hijrah dey remind us about personal and collective sacrifice for better cause, and to jettison everything wey no dey promote peace.” Na wetin we go sabi now, my people! Eebe like movie!

As the new Hijrah year waka enter, the governor don pray say e go carry plenty goodness, abundance, peace, and security for all Kwara State families. E don also wish for happiness and renewed faith dem need as dem enter this new chapter (because who no want beta thing? Abeg, count me in!).
